Extjs 5 and sencha cmd 5

Postby marmstrong » Sun Apr 20, 2014 1:32 pm

I'm working on extensible with Extjs 5. I just wanted to share what I have so far.

I added a folder named extensible to the project structure and put the extensible src directory in it.

I have the following in app.json:
"classpath": "${app.dir}/extensible/src,${app.dir}/extensible/src/view,${app.dir}/extensible/src/util,${app.dir}/extensible/src/template,${app.dir}/extensible/src/menu,${app.dir}/extensible/src/gadget,${app.dir}/extensible/src/form,${app.dir}/extensible/src/dd,${app.dir}/extensible/src/data,${app.dir}/app",

and

"js": [
{
"path": "extensible/src/Extensible.js",
"bootstrap": true
},
{
"path": "app.js",
"bundle": true
}
],

reconfigure doesn't work in 5, fields appear to be a simple array and no longer a mixed collection.

For my needs I don't think that I need to include Extensible data models so I'm skipping this.

How far did you get this to go on Extjs 5?

BTW you can compile with the mappings by adding
Code: Select all
// @define Extensible.calendar.data.CalendarMappings
and
// @define Extensible.calendar.data.EventMappings

in each respective file and Sencha CMD will allow you to use the Calendar and Event Mappings.

I have the same problem. I managed to configure Extensible 1.6 RC1 into CMD. It's compiling but as you said fields are arrays instead Mixed Collections (as with ExtJS 4). Because of it app crash with:
Code: Select all
proto.fields.clear();

in Extensible.data.Model.js (ine 58). I don't have so deep knowledge about framework to solve this.

The same happens when using extnesible in non CMD application.

I just did this:
Code: Select all
//proto.field.clear()
proto.fields = [];
len = fields.length;

for (; i < len; i++) {
    proto.fields.push(Ext.create('Ext.data.Field', fields[i]));
}
return this;

Thanks for help. I have found that in ExtJS 5 fields are arrays instead of MixedCollection.

There are other issues with Calendar with ExtJS. Event window doesn't add event, etc. I will try to solve those problems and post patch, but I worry, that I don't have enough knowledge about this project to address those issues.

No, I moved to pure JS calendar, this one http://dhtmlx.com/docs/products/dhtmlxScheduler/
It nicely integrate with CMD and we don't have to worry about ExtJS upgrade, because it's independent from EXTJS. More over it has more features which I need.
